Rust Printed Silk Scarf

This silk charmeuse scarf was created by using rusty metal as a printing plate. The rust gives an interesting range of colors to the fabric from very light soft red browns to deep rust browns and sometimes even black. After it was rust printed this piece was overdyed , the finished piece reminded me of the ocean. The ocean makes metal break down and rust very quickly I imagine neptune's closet would contain treasures like this. This scarf measures 15 inches wide by 60 inches long.
